**KEY OBJECTIVE**:
In this role, you will be responsible for the day to day legal and administrative support for Chubb Insurance Company of Canada’s (CICC’s) In-House Litigation Counsel.

**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**:
O pening, organizing, and maintaining legal files using ProLaw
Proficiency in using Outlook, Excel and Word
Maintaining a tickler system
Docketing time and maintaining lawyers’ calendars
Arranging discovery, mediations, and pre-trials
Preparation of pleadings, motion records and briefs
Typing legal documents and correspondence
Processing legal department bills
Processing of file expenses and summaries
Additional general office duties, as may be required.

Work Experience

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
Post-secondary education
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Law Clerk; previous experience in insurance defense litigation and/or subrogation preferred
Thorough understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure and the litigation process in Ontario
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and handle confidential information
Excellent computer and dicta-typing skills
Excellent proofreading skills with emphasis on attention to detail
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize workflows and initiate processes
