In 2016, MPCA transitioned to a newly built 550,000 sq. ft. facility located in Markham, ON (Canada) and we are building another new facility in Calgary, ON, in 2023. You will be joining us at a very exciting time as we build the foundation for our future
Reporting to the PDC Supervisor, the PDC Lead Hand assists the Supervisor with day to day operations of the PDC and in maintaining service levels. The PDC Lead Hand spends approximately 70% of working time involved in Material Handler duties and 30% assisting the PDC Supervisory team.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Assist PDC Supervisor in leading operations of the PDC
- Train, coach, develop and mentor staff as required
- Plan and schedule staff on a daily basis, as required
- Monitor workflow to ensure deadlines are met
- Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments as required
- Ensure maintenance of counter balance, reach truck and man-up equipment (certification required)
- Identify inventory variances, WOS (Location maintenance)
- Completion of all PDC operations Inbound/Outbound in a timely manner
- Operate counter balance, reach truck, order picker and walkie (certification required)
- Experience in processing dealer parts returns
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the PDC
- Follow and promote all health & safety policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience
- Must be able to safely operate material handling equipment (certification required)
- Ability to provide clear and concise instructions
- Desire to coach and manage others
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Must be team oriented and customer service focused
- Solid organization and time management skill
