**Job Overview**
Reporting to the Director, Marketing and Customer Care, as the **Communication Specialist** you will develop and implement effective external communications plans. You also ensure the awareness and embrace of Qualico brand integrity among stakeholders and audiences.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in implementing an effective external communications plan to support business goals, develop brand awareness, and align with community mandate and priorities.
- Assisting in identifying communications opportunities to positively enhance community profiles and reinforce strategic priorities.
- Maintaining prospect records, marketing assets including photo libraries, blogs, etc.
- Serving as awards submission lead.
- Monitoring auditing and updating B2B and/or B2C web environments for content accuracy, functionality and impacts.
- Organized; you effectively manage your time while balancing multiple priorities.
- A strong communicator; you clearly express your thoughts in conversation and in written communication.
- An active listener; you seek to understand and listen to others in a non-judgmental way.
- Detail oriented; you focus on detailed accuracy when dealing with a high volume of work.
- A team player; you contribute as a team member and share equally in the exchange of ideas, concepts and process outcomes.
**Essential Requirements**
- Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications or equivalent. 3 to 5 years of marketing or communications experience.
- Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Proficient in all areas of Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Previous marketing experience in the homebuilding, retail or real estate industries is an asset.

**Work Conditions**
You primarily work in an office setting with occasional travel to off-site meetings. Overtime may be required during peak periods.
