**Responsibilities**

**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**:
Website Management:

- Maintain and update the WordPress website, ensuring content accuracy and relevance.
- Regularly upload new content, including text, images, and multimedia elements.
- Monitor website performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary improvements.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure website design and functionality align with our brand identity and business goals.

Social Media Management:

- Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand visibility, engagement and followers.
- Manage social media accounts (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn) by creating and scheduling posts.
- Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor social media trends, analyze performance metrics, and provide insights to optimize strategies.

Blog Postings:

- Create engaging and informative blog content on relevant topics.
- Conduct research to gather information and ensure accuracy of facts.
- Develop a content calendar and schedule blog posts to maintain consistency.
- Optimize blog posts for search engines (SEO) to increase organic traffic.

**Qualifications**:

- Proficiency in WordPress, including experience with content management systems and website customization.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) and their management tools.
- Excellent written ad verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt to different brand voices.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles.
- Graphic design and video editing skills are a plus.
- Previous experience in website management, social media management or content creations is preferred.
- Blend of functional and technical knowledge and experience in the digital space.
- Clear vulnerable sector police check.
- Knowledge or experience in a counselling environment is an asset.

**Schedule and Compensation**:
This is a part-time position requiring approximately 20 hours per week, with flexible schedule. The position will be partially funding through the Canada Digital Adoption Program so applicants will also need to meet the following criteria to be approved for the funding.
- Be aged between 18-30.
- Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or refugees with the right to work in Canada.
- Currently enrolled in post-secondary program of study in college, university, CEGEP, Polytechnic institute or private training institution in relevant fields; or
- Recent graduates from college, university, CEGEP, Polytechnic institute, or private training institution (digital skills programs).
- For greater certainty, a recent graduate is a youth who has graduated from a post-secondary institution (in Canada or an international school) within the past two years. Participating youth must be: Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or refugees with the right to work in Canada.
- The Youth must not have previously benefited from a completed CDAP Boost Your Business Technology Work Placement. Youth having previously participated in Grow Your Business Online placements are eligible.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 5 months
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
