Russel Metals Inc. is currently seeking an individual for the position of **Inside/Outside Sales Representative **in our **Grande Prairie, AB** location.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Grow the revenues and the profits in accordance with the territorial business plan.
- Identify and maximize all sales and market development opportunities for carbon steel, aluminum & stainless as well as laser & plasma processing, shearing and press braking.
- Ensure outstanding customer service is provided by developing rapport and strengthening relationships with key customers.
- Monitor, evaluate, and make recommendations with respect to lost sales opportunities to continually improve upon sales results.
- Communicate with management to ensure sufficient product is available to meet customer and branch requirements.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills in dealing with external and internal customers.

**Education and Skills Required**:

- Moderate travel within AB/BC - valid driver’s license required.
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience, in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical, time management & organizational skills.
- Post-secondary education in the field of Metallurgy, Marketing, or Business Administration would be an asset.
- Prior sales experience within the steel/non-ferrous industries would be an asset.
- Previous purchasing experience.
- Ability to read customer’s metal processing drawings.
