The Opportunity

Columbia College is looking for **Sessional **Political Science Instructor**s** **to teach the following courses in our University Transfer Program during the second half of the Winter 2023 semester.

All courses are taught on campus.
- **PSCI 253 - Introduction to Public Policy, **section (13) - Tuesday and Friday from 12:00 pm to 13:55 pm
- **
PSCI 275 - Environmental Policy and Sustainable Development, **section (17) - Tuesday and Friday from 16:00 pm to 17:55 pm
- **
PSCI 101 - Introduction to Canadian Government,** section (19) - Tuesday and Friday from 18:00 pm to 19:55 pm

These part-time sessional positions will** commence **on **February **28 **and end **on **April **17, **2023.**

Key Responsibilities

Instructors' primary responsibilities include planning, teaching, marking, and grading the appointed course/s.
- **Master's degree in Political Science**
- Online and face-to-face experience teaching Political Science at another post-secondary institution.
- Excellent expertise with Learning Management Systems (Knowledge and experience with Moodle is an asset)
- Demonstrated success in innovative or student-centred teaching techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience in teaching a diverse student body.

Salary

We offer an attractive compensation**:$**4,126.39** per half a course for a Master's degree holder and **$**4,605.68** per half a course for a Ph.D. holder.
