The Opportunity

Columbia College is looking for **Sociology **Sessional Instructors **to teach University Transfer Courses on campus.
- Full semester:_
- **
Sociology 110,** Introductory Sociology I, section (9) - Tuesday and Friday from 8:00 am to 9:55 am
- **
Sociology 120**, Introductory Sociology II, section (17) - Tuesday and Friday from 16:00 pm to 17:55 pm
- **
Sociology 250**, Comparative Ethnic Relations, section (121) - Wednesday and Saturday from 12:00 pm to 13:55 pm
- Second half of the semester: (Starting June 28 )_
- **
Sociology 110,** Introductory Sociology I, section (101) - Wednesday and Saturday from 10:00 am to 11:55 am
- **
Sociology 110,** Introductory Sociology I, section (141) - Wednesday and Saturday from 14:00 pm to 15:55 pm

**These part-time sessional positions will commence in May 2023 and end in August 2023.**

Key Responsibilities

Instructors' primary responsibilities include planning, teaching, marking, and grading the appointed course/s.
- **Master's degree** in **Sociology**.
- Online and face-to-face **experience teaching Sociology** at another post-secondary institution.
- Excellent expertise with Learning Management Systems (Knowledge and experience with Moodle is an asset)
- Demonstrated success in innovative or student-centered teaching techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience in teaching a diverse student body.

Salary

We offer an attractive compensation**: $8,252.78 per course for a Master's degree** holder and **$9,211.36 per course for a Ph.D.** holder.
