We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic People and Culture Administrator to cover a maternity leave for a period of one year. The People and Culture Administrator will play a key role in supporting the HR team and ensuring the smooth operation of all HR and administrative functions related to our valued employees.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with day-to-day HR operations including but not limited to employee onboarding, offboarding, maintaining employee records, and managing HRIS (Human Resources Information System) databases.
- Coordinate job postings, screen resumes, schedule interviews, and assist with the recruitment process as needed.
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, provide guidance on HR policies and procedures, and assist in resolving employee concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Process payroll accurately and on time, including calculating wages, deductions, and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee timesheets, attendance records, and payroll reports, using the organization’s payroll software or systems.
- Support HR projects and initiatives, such as performance management, training and development, benefits administration, diversity and inclusion efforts, and employee feedback surveys.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations, and assist in maintaining HR policies and procedures in accordance with best practices.
- Support year-end payroll processes, including T4 preparation, tax reporting, and other payroll-related tasks.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- 6 months to 1+ years of experience in HR administration or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HRIS systems preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Spanish, both written and verbal, is considered an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
