**The opportunity**:
The University of Manitoba is looking for a Project Support Analyst. This position will be responsible for working on assessing, configuring, managing, testing and documenting system requirements and processes.

The Project Support Analyst will also be responsible for identifying, proposing, and implementing system enhancements, setting up and modifying SIS functions, detailing business processes and requirements, and developing test plans and transition strategies.

**The qualifications and experience we’re looking for**:

- A Bachelor's degree or college diploma, preferably with a major in management information systems, accounting and finance, business administration, public administration, computer information systems or a related field, or equivalent is required.
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification, preferred.
- A minimum of three years of experience in Business analysis, gathering requirements, documenting workflows, required.
- A minimum of one year of advanced level experience in supporting Ellucian Banner Student, preferred.
- Experience in creating and documenting test cases, test plans and conducting testing is required.
- Experience with business processes improvements is required.
- Experience working with BPMN (Business Process Notation) is required.
- Experience in the functional configuration, modification, or maintenance of complex relational databases, required.
- Experience in interpreting rules, regulations, and business processes at the University of Manitoba preferred.
- Experience training and supporting system end-users required.
- A successful track record of forming relationships and working with others across departments and within teams, required.
- Experience with academic advising, scheduling courses, degree audit or registration at a post-secondary institution, preferred.
- Knowledge of fundamentals of change management, process improvement and communications is required.
- Knowledge of fundamentals of functional systems analysis, configuration and testing and methods of developing operational process specifications is required.
- Professional standards for key business systems and procedures, and methods including laws, ordinances, codes, and regulations (FIPPA/PHIA) related to student systems information processing is required.
- Knowledge of University of Manitoba's curriculum and courses, admissions processes, registration processes, and financial aid and awards functions preferred.
- Knowledge of Complex higher education student information/admission/financial aid/degree audit systems design and operation including characteristics and capabilities of information processing preferred.
- Knowledge of System integrations and usage of Microsoft Power Automate preferred.
- Knowledge of Data analytics and tools like PowerBI is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge in Aurora Student/Banner, Slate, UM Achieve, Banner Student Aid would be an asset.
- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to learn the characteristics of new systems and update skills to adapt to changing technology is required.
- Ability to initiate work and mentor others is required.
- Ability to influence change and manage resistance to change is required.
- Ability to work effectively, both independently and collaboratively is required.
- Ability to establish and meet priorities and project schedules is required.
- Ability to show good situational judgment in an academic environment is required.
- Ability to present and lead discussions, chair meetings is required.
- Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail with frequent interruption is required.
- Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
