Victoria, Canada Victoria Cool Aid Society Full time

This is a great opportunity to join an organization that is committed to ending homelessness and improving the lives of the most vulnerable in our community.

We also offer high quality in-house training covering all aspects of working with our clients and other core skills and are committed to providing our staff with a wide range of learning and development opportunities.

In response to the overdose crisis, Cool Aid increased access to harm reduction supports and education through the Overdose Prevention Unit (OPU). This includes peer supports. Our objective is to meet clients ‘where they are at’.

The Harm Reduction Worker helps promote safe use and cultural safety within the site. Working at the OPU site, you will interact with service users, distribute harm reduction materials, and provide addictions information and referrals when required. Many of the people who use this service will be existing clients of the Rock Bay Landing shelter.
