**SALARY RANGE**: $66,300 to $79,235 per Annum

**POSITION TYPE**: Full-time, Term - 2 years with possibility for extension.

**LOCATION**: Saskatoon

**ACCOUNTABLE TO**: Director of Youth & Director of Citizen Engagement

**Brief Overview**:
As section 35 rights holders, MN-S is the Indigenous Governing Body for Métis children within Saskatchewan under Bill C92. MN-S is undertaking a multi-year process to design and implement Métis specific CFS programs and services, with a particular focus on culture, language and heritage. Under the supervision of the Director of Youth and Director of Citizen Engagement, the Youth Coordinator will be responsible for working with an interministerial Child and Family Services (CFS) team to strategize and implement successful approaches to consult with Métis children and youth currently and formerly in the Saskatchewan CFS system, and youth Métis citizens on the design and creation MN-S’s Child and Family Services prevention and apprehension programs and services.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist with, design, and implement strategies to consult Métis children currently and formerly in the Saskatchewan CFS system, and youth Métis citizens on the design and creation MN-S’s Child and Family Services prevention and apprehension programs and services.
- Write reports on Youth perspectives on programs and services integrating Youth feedback.
- Provide confidence to engage participants of a safe space.
- Be advised of participants’ needs and requirements so they can effectively provide information in group and one-on-one settings.
- Develop and maintain positive and effective relations with stakeholders, elders and Métis Citizens.
- Identify and report trends and priorities needed for Métis children and youth in the Saskatchewan.
- Provide solutions-based recommendations.
- Assist with performance planning, performance evaluation, and career development opportunities to build a high-functioning team focusing on results within the department.
- Maintain a positive role in all dealings with stakeholders and MN-S citizens.
- Identify opportunities, build partnerships, and retain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders in alignment with strategic vision and goals.
- Ensure clear communication, engagement, and a collaborative approach with all stakeholders.
- Collecting feedback and information on the programs and services provided.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**

- Experience with detail-oriented note taking.

- Knowledge of human resources management practices and procedures.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Relevant post secondary education in Education, Sociology, Indigenous Social Work or similar field.
- Minimum 1- 3 years experience in a similar level position.
- An equivalent combination of education and/experience (professional or lived) in youth and/or child and family services.
- Advanced computer skills including knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft Office programs Outlook, Word, Publisher, Excel, and PowerPoint.

**Additional requirements**:

- Valid Saskatchewan driver’s license and access reliable transportation.
- Must be available to work some weekends and evenings.
- Must be willing to travel.
- Must undergo a Criminal Record Check with the Vulnerable Sector
