The West Nipissing General Hospital was built in 1977 and boasts a clean, modern facility, with over 100 beds in operation at any given time. The Hospital operates a 24/7 Emergency Department serviced by General Practitioners, visiting Surgeons, Anesthetists, and Internists.
The West Nipissing General Hospital hosts regular cardiology, urology, nephrology, otolaryngology, endoscopy, surgical lumps & bumps and psychiatry clinics and consultation visits by specialists. There exists an excellent referral relationship between West Nipissing General Hospital and the Regional Health Centre in North Bay and Health Sciences North in Sudbury. The West Nipissing General Hospital is the sponsoring agency for a community Mental Health and Addictions Program.
The West Nipissing General Hospital collaborates with the Ontario Telemedicine Network to provide consultations and follow-up visits with specialists. In addition, Ontario Telemedicine Network hosts numerous education events for both staff members and physicians. The West Nipissing General Hospital offers a satellite Oncology program through the Regional Cancer Program of Northeastern Ontario Regional Cancer Centre. **Job Description**:
The Manager of Food Services, Medical Device Reprocessing is responsible and accountable for the overall management and direction of the nutrition/food services and central process services and works in accordance with hospital policies, procedures and budgetary allocations.
**Job Status**: Permanent Full Time
**Hours of Work**: 35 hours per week
**Shift**: Monday to Friday
**Language**: Bilingualism (French & English) an asset
**Work Location**: On-site
**Annual Salary**:$85,927.39 to $90,229.48

**Qualifications**:
**Education, Experience & Professional Registration**:
- Food Service & Nutrition Management Diploma
- Member in good standing with Canadian Society of Nutrition Management
- Medical Device Reprocessing Technician Certificate (or willingness to acquire)
- Current member of the Central Service Association of Ontario an asset
- Management experience in a health care environment an asset
**Skills Required**:
- Demonstrated success in managing a staff of 20 or more unionized employees and achieving targeted financial and operating results
- Effective leadership and team building skills
- Sound knowledge of institutional food service supervision, sanitation and safety
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with all members of the team and maintain strong and healthy relationships within the organization
- Proven outstanding abilities in time management, organization and problem solving
- Effective negotiation and conflict management skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Bilingualism (French and English) an asset
- Up-to-date immunizations are required, including COVID-19.
