D U T I E S
Reporting to the Director, Research Partnerships and Innovation, the Manager, Research
Programs leads the review, intake and development of applied research projects at RRC,
functions as the designated Research Grant Officer (RGO) for the organization, provides
implementation of RPI-wide projects and initiatives.The Manager, Research Programs is
review of major projects and partnersips, stakeholder management and business development.
This position also supports research projects, knowledge translation and analysis and metrics and
leads new program development for applied research.
- R E Q U I R E D Q U A L I F I C A T I O N S- Graduate Degree in a related field of study. Combination of education and extensive
- experience may be considered.- Experience conducting research and familiarity with research management and program and
- policy development- Experience in the review of applied research proposals, and the development of applied
- research projects- Demonstrated excellent organizational, analytical, research and creative skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
- Demonstrated strong financial management skills
- Demonstrated effective human resource management skills
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Demonstrated skill in the development and management of effective data collection and
- reporting systems and processes- Knowledge of intellectual property
- Demonstrated research dissemination planning and delivery skills
- Effective computer skills
- Knowledge of capital planning, property management, space planning, etc.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of constituents and organizations
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning

and continuous improvement
- A S S E T S- Formal training and/or certification in Project Management
- Experience within a relevant field of technology
- C O N D I T I O N S O F E M P L O Y M E N T- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada

- This position may be required to work overtime
