Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Adhere to the plan of care as determined by the Director of Care
- To observe and report on changes in residents' condition to the Director of Care
- To escalate medical emergencies to RPN, DOC or emergency medical services as appropriate
- To maintain resident information confidentiality
- To respond to resident/family concerns and ensure appropriate action taken within decision making authority and/or concerns communicated to Director of Care
- To engage with other agencies involved in resident care as directed
- Administer medications according to relevant legislative requirements
- Adhere to establish policies and procedures of Conestoga Lodge, RHRA and Public Health

Job Requirements
- Graduate of a Personal Support Worker Program required
- Up to date proof of Current CPR and First Aid Certification
- UCP Training certification from a recognized pharmacy training program
- Exceptional computer skills
- Experience working with Point Click Care software
- Preferred experience working with Seniors and knowledge of the aging process
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to consistently follow instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, in the English language, nurturing excellent human relations with residents, families and other team members. Ability to speak other ethnic languages is viewed as a strength.
