Right now, we are looking to hire an **HSE Advisor, Program Development**to join our HSE team, based out of our **Calgary**branch. The HSE Administrator is responsible for administering the occupational safety program for all CDN divisions. This position is also responsible for completing general administrative duties for the HSE department.
**AS OUR HSE ADVISOR, PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR**:
- Manage and oversee third-party contractor and vendor management sites.
- Coordinate and assist with the pre-qualification and bid request processes to ensure the selection of qualified contractors and vendors.
- Ensure that all safety-related inquiries are addressed promptly and effectively.
- Manage and track insurance claims, ensuring timely processing and resolution.
- Maintain accurate records of annual insurance requirements and updates.
- Oversee and manage the PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) Asset Application.
- Ensure inventory management, inspections, and reporting of PPE are conducted regularly.
- Administer and report on E-Compliance activities to ensure adherence to regulatory and organizational standards.
- Incident Investigation support by maintaining accurate records for audit analysis including arranging post incident testing when needed.
- Coordinate the Supervisor Program and related training sessions to ensure that supervisors are adequately trained and compliant with safety procedures.
- Provide backup support for the Corrective Action Log, ensuring that corrective actions are tracked and addressed as needed.
- Assist with training requirements and support in organizing and facilitating training sessions.
- Coordinate Electrical Safety Committee meetings, including scheduling, agenda development, and minute-taking.
- Manage other safety-related meetings, such as quarterly reviews, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Provide support in tracking and managing claims, including WCTL (Workplace Compensation Temporary Leave) triage as needed.
- Conduct and track new employee safety orientations, ensuring that new hires are adequately informed about safety protocols.
- Maintain awareness of amendments to the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) and Regulations and make recommendations for their implementation.
- All other duties as assigned.
**QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED**:
- Related University degree, college diploma and/or formal certification, and typically 2 or more years of related HSE experience; or combination of formal education and experience.
- Working towards certification, or already certified, under the Occupational Health & Safety Act/Regulations is preferred
- Knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation and safety best practices.
- Attentive to detail and demonstrated organizational skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate initiative when working alone.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize projects and daily tasks.
