- Reporting to the Senior Specialist, Procurements and Contracts this position will be based in Edmonton or Vancouver, Canada.***:
**Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate and oversee strategic sourcing initiatives from inception to contract execution, encompassing tasks such as developing and managing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), evaluating proposals, preparing award recommendations, conducting negotiations (covering terms and conditions, as well as commercial aspects), and finalizing contract development;
- Manage contracts after they are awarded, overseeing all stages of the process. This includes tasks like attending or leading meetings, facilitating changes, helping with claim/dispute resolution as needed, tracking contract submissions and deliverables, and ensuring compliance with the contract terms;
- Create and update purchase orders to accurately reflect the commercial terms specified in their respective contracts;
- Gain insight into the project requirements to ensure that contracts are suitable and in accordance with the project policies and mandates, such as health and safety and IIBA requirements;
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, procurement, and project management teams, to understand business needs and objectives;
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks, ensuring that the B2Gold's interests are protected in all contractual agreements;
- Generate and maintain accurate records of all contracts, amendments, and related documents for audit; and
- Prepare regular reports on contract status, performance, and upcoming renewals for management review.
**Desired Competencies and Requirements**:
- Five (5) years’ contract administration experience in the mining or construction industry;
- Bachelor's degree in business, law, or a related field;
- Strong understanding of contract law and familiarity with relevant regulations;
- Experience with SAP is considered an asset; and
- Knowledge and experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft software (Word, Outlook, Excel, MS Project, and Teams).
**Compensation and Benefits**:
For informational purposes, the estimated salary for the role is $105,000.00
