Cable 14 Hamilton requires an outgoing detail-oriented, focused individual responsible for both the growth and development of our volunteer program and our social media strategy. The Coordinator, Volunteers & Social Media responsibilities include the recruiting and training of new volunteers, keeping an informative database of volunteers, matching volunteers to opportunities that suit their skills, keeping volunteers informed and conveying our mission statement to how we work with the community. The Coordinator, Volunteers & Social Media will be the primary point of contact for our volunteers, volunteer-related activities, recruitment, training and ongoing evaluations.

The Coordinator, Volunteers & Social Media will oversee our online presence on various social media platforms. Tasks include scheduling program promotions, outreach endeavours and creating campaigns promoting company initiatives.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provides intake, support, and schedules for our Cable 14 volunteer program.
- Coordinates volunteer orientations, training sessions and crew schedules.
- Primary point of contact for production volunteers, cooperative education students and intern placements.
- Act as a liaison between the Cable 14 production staff and external clients. (i.e. high school guidance counsellors).
- Assists in identifying and executing volunteer recruitment activities such as trade shows, speaking engagements and studio tours.
- Maintains accurate records regarding volunteer recruitment and engagement.
- Generates monthly reports that highlight all volunteer-related activities and work hours.
- Monitoring, executing, filtering and measuring Cable 14’s social media presence.
- Creating dynamic social media campaigns that will engage our audience.
- You may be asked at times to assist with our Studio and Mobile productions.

**REQUI**RED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Experience or education in volunteer management, social media management, television production and/or digital media communications.
- Knowledge of Canva will be considered an asset.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- An outgoing and engaging personality.
- Must possess a valid Class “G” driver’s license.
