Your Opportunity

One Permanent Full Time Position

Capital Power is currently seeking an innovative and results-oriented individual to join our People Engagement and Development team. We are looking for someone who is not only passionate about learning and development, but is also excited about enhancing the employee experience.

You will contribute to our team by- Evolving our learning and development program that focuses on agile learning to respond to the the changing work environment.- Promoting and fostering a culture of continuous learning that enables employees to grow and develop their capabilities to advance to their next role at Capital Power.- Refining our learning strategy to ensure that we are supporting equity, diversity, and inclusion throughout our programs.- Partnering with the change management team to create learning resources for the organization as we enable our digitalization strategy and evolve our people programs to meet the unique needs of our employees.- Refining the leadership program to align with a human-centric focus on employees. This will include competency development, coaching, methods for identifying and developing individuals with increased leadership capabilities and talent development.- Facilitating and managing virtual and in-person learning sessions that are an impactful learning experience for the employee.-
- Leading all aspects of learning related metrics and reporting as required by the business, including aligning training requirements with the business needs, and providing key performance indicators.- Providing ongoing learning management system support to our employees.- Providing support within the learning management system to create, update and assign learning assignments, upload training rosters, and build compliance reports.- Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with internal and external collaborators, partners, and providers to enhance buy-in, delivery and success of People Development programs.- Assisting in the roll-out and implementation of our summer student work experience program.- Assisting with instructional design, development, and evaluation of classroom-based and e-learning programs based on educational standards.

What you will bring to the role

Education- Completed undergraduate Degree in Business, Human Resources, Education or related field.- Certified Coach.- Educational equivalency may be considered.

**Experience**:
- Proven leadership in taking an organization to the next level of growth with demonstrated successful execution while operating in complex and fluid environment with multiple stakeholders.- Expert in people-centered design that creates a culture of continuous learning.- 8-10 years of progressive learning and development experience.- 5+ years of working knowledge in a learning management system.- Excellent facilitation skills with the ability to connect with diverse participants in virtual and in-person learning sessions.- Demonstrated successful experience in Organization Effectiveness or related role.- You have a track record of coaching leadership in a high-performing organization.- Are highly motivated, meticulous, and organized.- Driven to implement process improvement initiatives.- Demonstrated ability to research, develop, lead and manage projects of varying complexity.- Solid understanding of MS Office Suite - Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.- Outstanding people skills and the ability to collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization.- Strong communication skills - written, oral along with excellent listening skills.- Are a values-oriented professional that demands the highest standards of quality and service while consistently supporting the company’s vision.

Working Conditions:
- Hybrid Office/Work from home position, with possible travel within Canada and the United States, as necessary.
