the _Calligaris is an Italian furniture store located in the heart of Castlefield Design District. Calligaris is sold in over 90 countries around the world, with showrooms in London, Paris, Milan, Miami, etc. The 9,000 sq ft showroom in Toronto exhibits the finest collections of Calligaris modern furniture for homes and contract design._

**Job Type**: Full Time

**Location**: CastleField Design District ( uptown)

**Compensation**: $28 - $30/hr

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- **Provide administrative support in a variety of functions to all team members**:

- Maintain electronic and hard copy information filing systems
- Check all paperwork for errors; ensure payments are collected
- Check stock for products
- Assist sales staff with paperwork and customer communications
- Supervise and train new staff in daily procedures in Quickbooks
- Prepare monthly commissions and business performance reports
- Mail out samples to designers
- **Maintain sales and merchandising material in perfect order**:

- Manage the organization of samples, catalogues and price books
- Manage the accuracy of price tags and signage throughout the showroom
- Update clearance and floor model lists
- **Assist with Freight Logistics**:

- Obtain freight quotes for long-distance deliveries
- Prepare loading lists for shipments
- Prepare documents for duties & customs’ clearance
- Process shipments to the warehouse
- **Process customer orders using Quickbooks and manage the full cycle of paperwork**:

- Process order confirmations
- Enter vendor/supplier invoices
- Manage client report
- Review customers’ orders status
- Prepare paperwork for deliveries, warehouse pickups & instore pick ups
- Process damage claims
- **Perform general administrative and clerical duties while maintaining a highly organized environment**:

- Keyholder; opening and closing the showroom
- Manage traffic reports and store performance reports
- Ensure office supplies are fully stocked
- Answer phones, communicating messages to the staff
- Assist with maintaining the appearance of the showroom during downtime
- Some HR duties may be included

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 5 years experience in a related or similar role
- Ability to work under minimum supervision
- Advanced knowledge of Quickbooks
- Experience in the furniture industry (desired)
- Experience in customer service
- Experience in logistics & long-distance freight (FTL & LTL)
- University level education
- Diploma/Certificate in a related field
- Reference Checks
- Criminal Background Check

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
