**Argus is a fully equipped machining, engineering and design facility based in Edmonton and Nisku, Alberta. We manufacture a diverse range of superior quality OCTG products. Our facilities include over 100,000 square feet of engineering, manufacturing, threading, assembly, and test space.**:
Reporting to the Corporate Reporting, Tax and Treasury Manager, this position is responsible for overseeing our ERP system as well as the corporate reporting function.

**What You'll Do**:

- You will be responsible for the day-to-day functional performance related to Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, ensuring the users needs are being met wherever possible.
- Monitor, configure and adjust as necessary all aspects of Microsoft Dynamics AX in production and non-production environments. Including but not limited to controls, enhancements, upgrades, maintenance, licenses, permissions, and security.
- Responsible for communicating with end-users to understand their problem/want/need and working to offer solutions, with the assistance of our 3rd -party AX Managed Services provider.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and end users to design, build, and maintain innovative and reliable BI solutions resulting in effective insights, process automation, process clarity and data accuracy across the organization.
- Provide direct support and coaching on best-practice uses of data, analytics & visualizations and assist users to finding the right information.
- Responsible for understanding the integrity and limitations of data in its current state and implementing controls where necessary to enhance the integrity of the data. Develop and design test plans that can be vetted against quality assurance standards before report consumption.
- Responsible for the administrative oversight of the PowerBI service: workspaces, reports, access, permissions, licenses, gateways, scheduled refreshes, maintenance, etc.
- Lead the coordination of analytics, department level reporting, governance, and data management.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for organizational processes (Standard Operating Procedures) as they pertain to the ERP and Corporate Reporting functions.
- Develop and design test plans that can be effectively utilized to compare against quality assurance standards.
- Assists with supporting new initiatives and projects throughout the organization as required.
- Identify and mitigate both existing and future organizational risks.
- Develop effective working relationships with key stakeholder groups across the company and develop training plans to enable them to trust and use their data.
- Other necessary tasks and duties as they relate to the ERP or Corporate Reporting functions.

**Future Growth of Position**:

- We will require an upgrade to a new ERP software in an estimated 3 - 5 year timeframe. This position will be expected to take on a leading role in the planning, development, and implementation, which will include, but not be limited to:

- Understanding current business processes and how we utilize the ERP system today.
- Research and identify the best possible solutions for our next ERP software.
- Planning and overseeing the development and implementation of the new ERP.
- Ongoing resource to support users in new ERP software.

**What You Bring**:

- Organized individual with experience utilizing systematic approach to addressing priorities and initiatives.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong sense of the Corporate Services function within an organization, and the need to work as a team and build relationships with end-users.
- Self starter, ability to identify organizational requirements and be a proactive solution provider under mínimal guidance/supervision.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution (will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education).
- At least 5 years of Information Technology experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.
- 2+ years of hands-on business intelligence software experience (PowerBI preferred).
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
- Experience in Dynamics AX 2012 development/configuration/solutions evaluation/validation and deployment (preferred).
- Experience with implementing and enforcing best practices in the ERP environment (preferred).
- Experience using Microsoft’s Power BI software (preferred).
- Experience working with vendors, external independent service providers internal customers (preferred).
- Experience with ERP implementation and/or upgrade projects (preferred).
- Experience in finance or accounting (preferred).
