**About the role**

We are seeking an experienced **Manager, **Forensic Accounting** to join our team at Intact. As a Manager, Forensic Accounting, you will report directly to the Director, Claims ON Accident Benefits.

**What you’ll do here**:

- Responsible for managing a team of Forensic Accountants, calculating the income replacement benefit or business interruption loss incurred by analyzing financial records. Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all work performed by the team
- Provide guidance on complex accounting issues, and resolve difficult technical problems
- Offer technical support to adjusters and team leaders, ensuring timely follow up
- Monitor key performance indicators monthly to identify trends, and develop action plans in consultation with the Claims operation
- Provide senior management with the tools to understand variances and to take appropriate corrective action
- Manage, coach, develop, and mentor employees
- Assist on ad-hoc projects and initiatives to drive the strategic goals of the organization, collaborating across departments as required

**What you bring to the table**:

- Minimum 7 years professional experience in either: Forensic Accounting/Accounting/Audit role in a manager capacity
- ** CPA Designation - is required**
- ** Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically with Excel and PowerPoint - is required**
- Demonstrated leadership skills acquired through considerable experience leading and motivating employees
- Can interact with a variety of people at all levels of the organization including management, and external stakeholders
- Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple and conflicting tasks while working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong analytical skills, insight, and discipline
- Positive attitude while adapting to changing priorities and taking ownership of the team’s work
- Self starter with ability to work independently under mínimal supervision
- Knowledge of P&C insurance industry an asset
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada
