- **There is one Full-time contract Suicide Prevention Program Coordinator position available starting on January 8, 2023, and ending on March 31, 2025, working 37.5 hours per week.**_

**Your role**:

- Works with the Executive Director of the Waterloo Region Suicide Prevention Council (WRSPC) and community stakeholders to advance the work of suicide prevention within the community and for the Council.
- Works collaboratively with social service agencies and health care providers involved with the Council.
- Provides support to a variety of community fundraising events and program initiatives.
- Delivers community presentations promoting suicide prevention and awareness as well as the role of the Council. Provides leadership and support to WRSPC volunteers.

**Your talents and experience**:

- Experience working within the field of Mental Health Services or Suicidology and/or experience serving vulnerable populations.
- Knowledge of a broad range of mental health issues, suicide awareness and intervention practices and Waterloo Region’s mental health systems.
- Knowledge of crisis supports, and resources considered an asset. Proven ability to connect with diverse audiences through mediums such as delivery of educational trainings, presentations, and development initiatives.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a team environment and independently.
- Highly developed verbal and written skills, as well as communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to achieve high levels of customer service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and intimate working knowledge of the Internet.
- Transportation is required for this position.

**Job Band F (hourly wages): Min - $23.71, Mid - $25.68, Max - $29.24**
