**About Our Opportunity**:
As the Customer Service Representative, you are the face and voice of the Province of Nova Scotia. As such, you are responsible for delivering programs and services to meet the needs of our clients and the public good. Providing excellence in client service is demonstrated by interacting with clients and processing requests received across the channels of mail, fax, digital, in-person and phone. You strive to meet and exceed service within turnaround times, and always look for new and innovative ways to deliver services to ensure we continue to be agile and responsive to our clients.

**Primary Accountabilities**:
**Qualifications and Experience**:
To be considered for this position, you hold a minimum of four years of experience in a fast-paced, front line customer service environment. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. You are a flexible team-player with strong customer service skills, and you complete your work with efficiency and accuracy. In addition, you possess the following:

- Experience in balancing accounts;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Excellent judgment;
- Strong communication skills;
- Demonstrated ability to diplomatically deal with the general public and to effectively manage difficult client engagements;
- Strong data entry and computer skills;The following would be viewed as assets: knowledge of Service Nova Scotia programs, bilingualism (French and English), the ability to scrutinize and reconcile financial information and to detect and resolve discrepancies, and experience in cash handling.

We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.

**Additional Information**:
We currently have one permanent part-time vacancy available, however this competition may also be used to fill future vacancies. Hourly rate**:$24.05 - $26.91** per hour.
