The CHEO Department of Ophthalmology is affiliated with CHEO, the CHEO Research Institute and the University of Ottawa. Together, we provide outstanding patient care, research, and medical education. The Department provides tertiary eye care to newborns, children and youth of the Ottawa area, as well as those from Eastern Ontario, Western Quebec, Nunavut and parts of Northern Ontario (population of approximately 1.8 million).
- Tertiary level pediatric ophthalmology clinical care at CHEO
- Equitable participation in the general ophthalmology on-call rotation for The Ottawa Hospital and on-call clinic coverage.
- Commitment to Department, Hospital, and University support through an equitable contribution to clinical research, administrative duties, and teaching, including training and supervision of learners at all levels.
