About the Role: *
Radiopharmaceuticals are perishable products that are manufactured following a just-in-time model to meet the needs of patients. Shipment of such finished product requires well planned supply routes, specialized packaging and a detailed understanding of the international regulations pertaining to the shipment of dangerous goods.
**Responsibilities**:
- Shipment of dangerous goods nationally and internationally
- Hands-on, stand-alone role in supply chain and logistics
- Identifying and managing third-party logistics vendors
- Work with production managers to plan manufacturing schedule
- Developing and validating primary and secondary supply routes
- Development/sourcing and validation of Type 7A packaging
- Real-time shipment monitoring
- Prompt remediation of shipping issues
- Sourcing and managing of materials to meet the needs of our clients in the most effective manner.
- All other duties as assigned
**Required Education/Experience**:
- College or University level education in logistics and/or supply chain management
- 8-10 years’ experience in the international shipment of dangerous goods
- Knowledge of international shipping requirements in the areas of documentation, brokerage services, and customs/regulatory release, e.g. HC, FDA, etc.
- Experience assisting with production scheduling is considered an asset
- Customer oriented with strong communication skills, including proficiency in the English language, both written and oral
- Multi-tasking capability to manage the logistics for multiple projects at once
- Ability to work independently and possess excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, Power Point
- Ability to forecast material requirements for production and development
- Experience with IATA regulations required
- Experience working within a GMP environment (cleanroom facility) would be considered as asset
- The ability to work flexible hours and be available after hours as necessary
