WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
**_ Relationship Building_**
- Build and maintain positive relationships outside the company that include dealerships, upfitting/maintenance vendors, fleet management companies, insurance companies, registries, DOT and manufacturer reps.
- Build and maintain positive relationship inside the company including, but not limited to, drivers, approvers, division management, accounts payable, and field administrative staff.

**_ Vehicle Selection and Leasing_**
- Negotiate concessions with manufacturers and negotiate upfitting costs with dealerships for new truck orders each year.
- Build new trucks specs for various trimlines from various manufacturers and present best options to management for approval.
- Prepare LCCA for management for cost comparisons for management’s review.
- Order new fleet based on Backwoods replacement cycle and in keeping with manufacturers’ build dates.
- Coordinate delivery and upfitting for all new fleet for the business.
- Ensure fleet vehicles are built as per Backwoods spec.

**_ Fleet Compliance_**
- Coordinate driver evaluations and manage driver files as per NSC/DOT Fleet Standards
- Coordinate fleet maintenance programs as per NSC/DOT Fleet Standards
- Ensure fleet policies and procedures reflect compliance to NSC/DOT recommendations and standards and are at all times prepared for internal or external audits

**_Vehicle Disposition_**
- Manage all fleet sales through public auction company.
- Cancel registration/insurance and all fleet cards.
- Ensure leases are paid out and liens are released.
- Track sale proceeds and report to management.

**_ Maintenance & Fuel Expenses_**
- Ensure manufacturers’ PM Schedule is implemented and followed.
- Manage the Fleet Card program for the fleet. This includes negotiating the best discount for Backwoods, managing the fleet fuel cards, keeping the website updated, pulling reports, analyzing fuel usage and reporting to management.
- Manage Backwoods fuel and maintenance cards and keep Backwoods’ web portal up to date with truck, driver, and approver information.
- Approve maintenance requests as per Backwoods policy.
- Provide reports, as requested by management, regarding maintenance expenses and vendor usage.
- Ensure all manufacturer recalls are sent to driver and recalls are completed in a timely manner.
- Optimize and improve fleet maintenance and fuel costs.

**_ Insurance & Registration_**
- Track all Insurance claims
- Use eCompliance reports to track any damage to fleet assets and work with the driver regarding any repairs.
- Collect Consent Forms from drivers for Backwoods insurance company.
- Prepare necessary information for annual insurance renewal.
- Complete annual registration renewal for Alberta fleet assets.
- Act as the administrator for Backwoods in AMTA

**_ Reporting_**
- Fleet reporting is collected and analyzed as per truck (TCO), per manufacturer, per district and also evaluated in terms of costs per truck life cycle.
- Prepare various reports and projects requested from management, such as idling or fuel provider cost comparisons.
- Organize annual review with fleet management company and Backwoods management.
- Keep fleet files up to date with all relevant information.
- Continue to update the Fleet Manual with all necessary data.
- Track and analyze driver performance using fleet telematics system
