We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Tiger Calcium Services Inc.

About the Role

This is a full-time position responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our fleet of commercial vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy duty mechanics, supervisory experience, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to mechanics on the night shift crew
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairs as needed
  • Generate, assign, and review work orders using TMT Fleet Maintenance Software
  • Perform CVIP Inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnose, and repair our fleet of tractors and trailers
  • Mentor and coach apprentices on the job to enhance their skills and abilities
  • Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repairs to manufacturer's specifications
  • Maintain a clean and tidy personal work area and assist with general workshop cleaning duties
  • Adhere to, promote, and enforce Tiger's Safety Management System policies and procedures
  • Support and encourage continuous learning and improvement in work practices
  • Some out-of-hours work may be required on a call-out basis
Requirements
  • Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic with CVIP ticket
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity within a maintenance shop environment
  • A valid Alberta Class 1 Driver's license would be considered an asset
  • Experience with Cummins engines, aftertreatment diagnostics, hydraulic systems, Super B trailers, and TMT Fleet Maintenance Software would be considered an asset
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to supervise crews of 6 or more employees
  • Ability to work independently and ensure quality completion of multiple projects
