FACILITY SERVICES JOB POSTING #2023-039

**Position**: Locksmith

**Location**: Primarily St. Catharines Service Centre (9 Wright Street, St. Catharines); and as required and assigned throughout the DSBN school system.

**Hours of work**: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Monday through Friday)

40 Hours per week

**Rate of Pay**: $31.70 per hour

**Duties**:
Install, troubleshoot, and repair lock systems, lock hardware, and door hardware as required.

Rekey existing systems as per DSBN standards as required.

Assess sites for condition of lock systems, lock hardware, and door hardware as required.

Create and maintain notes for lock hardware makes, models, key blank number, and pin arrangements.

Respond to emergencies regarding access to; or egress from locations.

**Requirements**:
Must have experience in Master keying bi-centric cylinders for Yale, Corbin, Schlage, Medeco, and Keymark.

Must be able to operate key cutting machines including the use of key coding systems.

Must have experience Installing all types of door hardware, all locks, closers, panic hardware and mullions.

Must have minimum 5 years’ experience in servicing electronic strikes and card access systems.

Must have a current Ontario College of Trades Certificate 259L Locksmith or a certificate of successful completion of a Locksmith course of studies from a recognized Locksmith school/program.

Must hold a current Ontario Driver's License.
