**Wage**:$16.55/hour

**What do you offer?**
The Camp Office Assistant is responsible for business operations at the camp office and will report to the Camp Director. This role will assist in operations of the office as needed and will provide administrative support to staff and volunteers.
This position is available at Taggart Family Y (180 Argyle Avenue) or Camp Otonabee (1620 Sixth Line Road) Free daily bus service is available for staff working at Camp Otonabee.
**Some of the tasks of this position include**:
- Answering telephone inquiries and setting up appointments.
- Making follow-up phone calls to participants.
- Performing administrative duties for Y Camps, including filing, data entry, photocopying, etc.
- Assisting with the organization of information.

**Experience, Skills and Abilities**
- Standard First Aid and CPR “C” or equivalent
- Experience in customer service
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team culture
- Good judgement and attention to detail
- Willingness to manage confrontational situations
- Must be able to learn and manage YMCA financial software, and be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience and sensitivity in dealing with members of different cultural and racial backgrounds, including visible and invisible dimensions of diversity
**Additional Requirements**
- Applicants must already have a valid permit to work in Canada.
- Semi-annually, staff must complete the mandatory training for the protection of Children & Youth and submit the certificate of completion.
