**Vacancy Status**:This job posting is for an existing vacancy. Two positions are available; one incumbent will be focused on camp locations from Stittsville to Ottawa Centre (West Coordinator), and the other incumbent will be focused on camp locations from Ottawa Centre to Clarence-Rockland (East Coordinator).

**What do you offer?**

The Neighbourhood Day Camps Coordinator will report directly to the General Manager and work together to manage the day-to-day operations of the neighbourhood day camps across several locations. The Coordinator gives leadership and supervision to Y staff and volunteers and is responsible for ensuring adherence to the Y’s Mission, Vision and Values, quality assurance statement, curriculum standards, as well as all legislative requirements set forth. Coordinators take on a wide range of responsibilities and this role is ideal for someone looking to move into a camp management role.

In this position, the Coordinator will support Y Neighbourhood Day Camps exclusively from May until August. In the remainder of the year (September to April), the Coordinator will support the Y Outdoor Centre in day-to-day operations. The Y Outdoor Centre is located at 1620 Sixth Line Road, Dunrobin, ON. The Y Neighbourhood Day Camps Coordinator’s main office will also be located at 1620 Sixth Line Road, Dunrobin, ON, though there is an expectation to travel to the Y Neighbourhood Day Camp sites throughout the months of July and August to ensure operations are running effectively.

**Some of the tasks of this position include**:

- Leading and supervising a team of 50-90 seasonal staff members.
- Managing the recruitment, selection, training, scheduling, coaching and performance management of seasonal staff members.
- Assisting in day-to-day outdoor centre and camp operations.
- Providing high quality facilitation in all program areas at camp.
- Carrying out camp promotion and strategic marketing, working with the Camp Manager to create and executive a marketing plan to ensure camper targets are met.
- Assisting in overseeing the Neighbourhood Camp budget.
- Communicating with participants, families, staff, volunteers, third party partnerships, and management.
- Overseeing all camp administration, including registration management.
