Norman’s Diner on Hollywood Rd. is looking for a Restaurant Manager

This Hollywood location is fairly new to our restaurant group, having opened in July 2023. Since then, it has grown to develop a wonderful customer base and a strong staff. Norman’s Diner on Hollywood is the newest member of a restaurant group that includes Norman’s Diner Lake Country, Diner on Six in Vernon and Turtle Bay Pub in Lake Country. A new Manager for Norman’s Rutland wont just be joining and leading, the team on Hollywood, but will join a dynamic and supportive management team that consists of leaders from the three other restaurants. This management team communicates frequently with each other to share ideas, coordinate cross-training of team-members and to find various ways to support and celebrate each other’s locations.

Norman’s Diner is a breakfast and lunch restaurant, offering homestyle cooking and a warm, welcoming atmosphere for our guests and staff. Our service style, although casual, is friendly, service-focused, efficient and designed to create a comfortable, community-oriented environment. Our current staff at Norman’s and Diner on Six enjoy knowing their regular customers by name, and value working in a place where not only their co-workers, but their customers, feel like family.

Qualities, Skills and Experience that we are looking for:
We are looking for a leader who shines in a customer service environment, who enjoys challenges and who has experience in restaurant management.
- Leadership experience should include being skilled at building and sustaining great team morale, delegating, giving positive re-enforcement and constructive criticism, and being an effective communicator and trainer.
- Experience with inventory management, scheduling, team building and service recovery is a must.
- Manager must have reliable transportation as this position will require some shopping for food and liquor.
- This position requires some office/ administrative work. Basic math and cash handling skills are important. However, the Manager is expected to be an important part of the customer service team and the majority of time will be spent in the restaurant interacting with customers and staff.

Training and Compensation:
This position is available immediately, to ensure that a Manager has time to get comfortable and familiar with the operation before the very busy summer months hit.

Thorough training will be provided, and the length and style of that training period will be customized to the strengths and abilities of the person we select for this position. Training may involve spending a few days at one of our other locations, but most likely, will take place on site at Norman’s Rutland.

Compensation for this position is made up of a base salary (to be negotiated), tips, a very rewarding bonus system, an option to participate in our company benefits plan, a complimentary meal while on shift and discounts at all of our locations.

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
