**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**
- Overseeing all operations at the store including but not limited to retail sales, inventory management, product purchasing and receiving, weekly marketing promos, and POS troubleshooting
- Creating and implementing strategies to increase sales (e.g., sales floor presentability, marketing/promos, inventory selection and availability, etc.)
- Overseeing cash handling, including following designated cash processes, and reconciling cash when needed
- Participating and contributing to purchasing meetings for the purchasing of cannabis products and accessories
- Empowering and motivating employees to deliver the highest quality customer service/experiences
- Providing feedback, guidance and coaching to employees to improve sales and customers’ sales experiences (e.g., POS issues, customer inquiries/complaints, product recommendations, etc.)
- Checking-in with employees regularly to provide/receive sales-related feedback, communicate promotions, changes and updates, etc.
- Collaborate with Senior Management regarding staffing requirements, scheduling, and shift times to ensure smooth and successful operations
- Preparing employee shift schedules on a weekly basis, verifying and approving employee timesheets in the HRIS
- Approve/deny and manage employees’ leave of absences and document leave of absences in the HRIS
- Identify any staff misconduct and address the problem effectively at the lowest level
- Work with Senior Management to address any issues related to employee performance
- Assist with onboarding and training new staff (i.e., budtenders, shift leads)
- Provide ongoing training to staff on topics such as customer service, sales strategies, product knowledge and more
- Build relationships with Licensed Producer and vendor reps, ensuring to represent Herbiculture in an honest, respectful, and appropriate fashion
- Remaining available for and receptive to feedback from staff, management, and ownership teams
- Managing with integrity and honesty and in compliance with all Herbiculture’s SOPs, policies, as well as federal and provincial regulations and legislation
- Performing general administrative tasks as needed
- Completion of ad hoc directives and responsibilities as assigned by Senior Management
