**The Opportunity**

The TREDI Specialist will also be responsible for drafting TREDI communications, building awareness about TREDI work across the organization, building cultural awareness, supporting reporting initiatives, and engaging with internal and external stakeholders in delivering against the day-to-day responsibilities and strategic priorities of the role. This role will also be asked to regularly support and, on occasion, lead additional TREDI projects as assigned.

**Key accountabilities include, but aren't limited to**:

- Oversee the delivery of LABC’s strategic plan to advance a culture of Truth, Reconciliation, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (TREDI).
- Educate, guide, evaluate, and champion behaviours that realize equity, diversity, inclusion, anti-racism, decolonization, anti-homophobia, anti-ableism, anti-sexism, anti-transphobia, Truth and Reconciliation and foster a culture of belonging
- Implement and report on LABC’s TREDI goals and strategic priorities.
- Support the planning, execution, and management of TREDI programs and initiatives.
- Recommend the resources required for TREDI programs, including location, services, staffing service delivery, budget, and equipment.
- Maintain up-to-date information on sector-related TREDI initiatives and develop relationships with others in the field as appropriate.
- Perform other duties as required.

You have a Bachelor's Degree in Adult Education, Human Resources, or Social Justice. A minimum four (4) years’ related experience as outlined in rated requirements including experience supporting equity, diversity, inclusion, anti-racism, decolonization, anti-homophobia, anti-ableism, anti-sexism, anti-transphobia, and Truth and Reconciliation learning and development projects and structural equity initiatives in a complex organization. Extensive literacy and ability to comfortably facilitate discussions on justice, equity, decolonization, and inclusion using current discourse (e.g., anti-racism, decolonization, anti-homophobia, ableism, disability justice, trans rights, reconciliation, etc.). Demonstrated commitment to and proven track record in an ethical approach to working on issues affecting vulnerable populations. An equivalent combination of training, education and experience will be considered. Lived experience as a person from an inequity experiencing group and/or a systemically excluded group (disclosure of individual lived experience of inequity is welcome and not required to meet this criteria). You are committed to understanding what is expected of your work, constructive and critical engagement with a task, and continuous improvement in the quality of our outputs and deliverables.
