Position Summary: The Program Administrative Support and Volunteer Coordinator will assist our Housing, Outreach, Community Services, Community Development and Strengthening the Circle departments. They are responsible for supporting program staff with the logistics of program delivery, managing inventory and tracking statistics. This position will also oversee the coordination of our Centre Volunteers, including orientation of new Centre Volunteers, scheduling Volunteer shifts and ensuring Volunteers are appreciated for their valued contributions.

Start Date: October 2024

**Salary**: $21-$24/hour, starts at 3 weeks’ vacation, plus a benefits package and matched RRSP after 3 months

Time requirement: 75h every two weeks

Closing Date: Open until filled

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Recruit Centre Volunteers and oversee Centre Volunteer programming; including orientation, scheduling and appreciation
- Build relationships with and provide support to participant volunteers as needed
- Support with the logistics of program delivery including space booking, ordering food, cheque requests and shopping
- Monitor program and office supply inventories and procure supplies as needed
- Coordinate with third party technical support and support staff directly with general IT issues
- Oversee van usage and maintenance
- Produce materials for program use (intake forms, posters etc.)
- Participate in relevant community meetings and network tables as assigned
- Develop tracking tools for programs; support staff to ensure stats are consistently tracked
- Train staff in using the Momentum database
- Maintain positive and constructive working relationships with coworkers through teamwork, collaboration, and debriefing
- Support with Centre donations

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Essential
- Education and/or experience in administration/office management
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work in a respectful and cooperative manner with co-workers
- Great interpersonal skills to be able to work with staff from all program areas, Centre volunteers and to build relationship and rapport with people who are donating to the Centre
- Ability to work within anti-racist and anti-oppressive frameworks and actively engage in ongoing learning about these frameworks 
- Ability to keep sensitive material confidential
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Strong ability to work collaboratively in a diverse staff team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
- Open and willing to work within WCWRC’s values
- Proficient computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office suite and Canva; the ability to provide support to other staff
- Class 5 drivers license required; access to a vehicle an asset

Preferred
- Lived experience of overcoming housing insecurity, homelessness, poverty and/or marginalization preferred
- Experience working within the non-profit sector
- Understanding of empowerment philosophies
- Experience working collaboratively with community organizations

Work Conditions
- There is a risk of exposure to potentially unpredictable behaviors and situations
- Evening and weekend work may be required
