We operate steel service centres and provide reinforcing products including stock and fabricated rebar; as well as offering specialty products including assembled rebar, stainless steel rebar and mechanical tube.

**Do you have what it takes?**

You are a go-getter, who thrives in a fast paced environment. You love building relationships with people, and take pride in generating sales based on repeat and referral business. You are comfortable initiating conversations, and sharing product knowledge. As a **Service Centre Inside Sales Representative** you are responsible for sourcing new customers and contacting existing customers for opportunities. You will coordinate customer requests for quotations, orders and lead times. You appreciate the time sensitive nature of the role, and will develop quotes in the time frame required, write orders, and relay pertinent order information to the customer.

**Core Duties**:

- Initiate outbound calls to solicit new business with new or existing customers
- Receive requests for price quotations, sales orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations
- Develop and maintain rapport with customers
- Retrieve customer information, stock status information, the status of orders, and make changes on customer orders
- Work with operations and the shipping department to relay delivery times to clients
- Work with the Credit Department to determine the credit status of customers
- Maintain files of active orders and posts activity such as change notices, scheduling changes, partial shipments, and credit changes
- Prepare paperwork IE: purchase order, copies of invoice, and return goods memo
- Work closely with Outside Sales Representative to develop new accounts
- Take a pro-active approach in cold calling to solicit new business
- Other duties as assigned

**Education/Experience**:

- Post-Secondary education
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience, preferably in the construction business
- Experience in the steel / rebar business (site, shop, estimating, detailing or other) is a definite asset
