**Job Summary**:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Research Coordinator committed to ending gender
- based violence through non-legal responses, prevention, and community accountability. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Research Coordinator will work alongside the advisory, coordinate community sessions, and manage administrative tasks. This part-time, non-unionized position is 10 hours per week, with a compensation rate of $40 per hour. Strong anti-racist and anti-colonial feminist praxis is a key competency.

**About OCTEVAW**: OCTEVAW is dedicated to ending gender-based violence through prevention, awareness building, and amplifying frontline voices. Operating under feminist, anti-oppressive, anti-racist, decolonial, 2SLGBTIAQ+ positive, and pro-choice principles, our recent strategic plan centers the needs of Indigenous, Black, and racialized survivors and communities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the advisory to execute research initiatives aligned with non
- legal response objectives.
- Coordinate community sessions, ensuring effective engagement with stakeholders.
- Facilitate and manage advisory meetings, ensuring progress on initiatives.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Ottawa's anti-violence movement and stay informed about relevant developments.

- Efficiently handle administrative tasks, including data management, scheduling, and documentation.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in research coordination within the context of non-legal responses to violence.
- Strong organizational and administration skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with the anti-violence movement in Ottawa and a commitment to its principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse communities.
- Strong anti-racist and anti-colonial feminist praxis.
