Catholic Social Services is currently seeking a full-time, contract, 40 hours per week, FASD Program Supervisor in EDMONTON to join our team. Providing excellent client-centered care, you are confident, thoughtful, and motivated to achieve success when supporting youth in your community.

This is a one-year contract position.

**This position has a weekly schedule of**: Monday to Friday from 8:30-5:00 pm. Some evening work required, especially Tuesdays from 4:30 to about 7 pm. After the completion of the probationary period, this position is eligible for remote work.

Program Overview

**McDaniel Youth Program**: Provides mentorship supports to youth aged 14 to 21 years who are diagnosed with, or possible, FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder) to help them access community supports and make a successful transition into adulthood.

**Job Summary**:
The Program Supervisor oversees the McDaniel Youth Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Programs in the Edmonton area. The supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day support of employees and the programs. The supervisor will provide crucial information to the Program Manager to support the success of the program(s).

**Employee Management**:

- Understands, supports, promotes, and adheres to the Agency’s vision, mission, values, and organizational ethics, and treat all persons with humility, compassion, and respect
- Presents as a positive and professional role model and ambassador for the Agency in interactions with clients, stakeholders, and the public. Maintains respectful personal boundaries
- Communicates effectively and respectfully in a professional and confidential manner with all Agency employees, and internal and external stakeholders
- Provides supervision to employees via bi-weekly individual meetings
- Facilitates a monthly case collaboration group tailored to current employees and program needs
- Ensures all file documentation is completed by employees. Ensures outcome measures and other reporting protocols are understood and utilized by employees
- Attends home visits and/or Service Team Meetings with employees (as needed)
- Participates in the recruitment of new employees
- Provides employee orientation and training as required
- Monitors completion of mandatory training requirements by employees
- Monitors, supervises and evaluates performance of employees
- Collects, approves and submits timesheets and leave of absence requests
- Ensures employees participate in team meetings and planning days
- Integrates employee feedback about service delivery needs into additional training for employees
- Reviews, completes & submits incident reports, serious occurrence reports and/or other administrative duties in a precise and timely manner as per Agency policy and procedures
- Debriefs with employees about serious occurrences or critical incidents
- Provides on-the-job supervision to students and volunteers as required
- Provides support over the phone and possibly on-site through an on-call after hours rotation

**Administration/Other**:

- Completes and submits documentation as per standard procedures on or before assigned due dates, such as employee time sheets, quarterly program reports, mileage, cheque requisitions, etc.
- Attends and actively participates in scheduled team meetings. Supports team initiatives and helps to identify problems and suggest solutions
- Attends and actively participates in committees as required
- Attends and actively participates in trainings/employee development programs
- Updates the Program Manager on activities and developments in the Program
- Assists in the monitoring of budgets, financial resources, and service delivery
- Participates in policy and procedure reviews as assigned and reviews policy and procedure updates and COA standard changes
- Represents programs at applicable stakeholder meetings such as PCAP Council and EFAN

**Client Care/Service**:

- Ensures that appropriate client care is implemented and provided by our employees/partners
- Supports the FASD programs by identifying gaps and partnering with stakeholders to address the needs
- Assists in the design, development and organization of the program to meet client needs
- Participates in client group activities
- Performs other related duties as required

**Education & Qualifications**:

- Minimum of a Diploma in a Human Services’ discipline or equivalent
- Degree in a Human Services’ discipline is an asset
- Additional relevant certifications or designations considered an asset
- Minimum of 1 years’ professional supervisory experience preferred
- Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, family support, addictions and high-risk behaviours
