The Executive Assistant reports to the Executive Director and is a partner in the Administration Team. This critical role is instrumental in providing high-level administrative support to the Executive Director and Director of Care. In addition to providing support at an executive level, as a non-profit organization, community engagement and collaboration is an integral piece. The ability to work collaboratively with existing community partners and engaging new partners is a must, building community support is the key to our fundraising initiatives.
Duties will include but not exclusive to:
- Providing exceptional support to the Executive Director and Director of Care (where needed)
- Work with community partners on fundraising initiatives
- Assist in the development and roll out of policies and procedures
- Maintain relationship with the Organization and Board of Directors
- Coordinate meetings, gather information, attend meetings, take minutes and distribute
- Maintain Donor Perfect database and reporting

- Critical thinking; able to see big picture and end result is a must
- Strong organization, prioritization and meeting tight deadlines
- Problem solving and sound decision making
- Excellent communications, both oral and written
- Confidentiality
- Self-care and awareness are critical to the success of this role, to ensure own mental wellness and avoid Compassion Fatigue
Education, Training Employment Requirements:
- Grade 12 Diploma plus Office Administration
- 3-5 years’ experience working in an office environment is an asset
- Excellent computer skills (fluent in Microsoft Office, etc)
- Experience with office equipment (photocopier, fax machine, etc)
- Pass a Criminal Record Check at the Federal Level to work with Vulnerable Populations
- Fully Vaccinated for Covid-19
