**The Opportunity**
The Finance Team performs critical functions for our organization. As our Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper, you will be a member of the Company’s Finance Team, working with the rest of our team that is located at our downtown Toronto office. You will perform tasks involving financial reporting, financial analysis, and audit support. Please note this is a** full-time** **hybrid role** -_ must be available to work from our downtown Toronto office and be available during business hours five days a week._
**Primary Responsibilities**
- Record-keeping and filing of company documents, invoices, and statements.
- Enter invoices into the accounting system with correct vendor name, date, amount, invoice number, and general ledger coding.
- Coding bank and credit card transactions to correct general ledger accounts and following up to obtain documented approvals as necessary in an efficient and timely manner.
- Prepare bank account and credit card reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and complete payroll and credit card allocations and related journal entries.
- Verify vendor statements periodically and contact vendor for copies of missing invoices.
- Maintain and create vendor records for new suppliers.
**Other Responsibilities**
- Assist with month-end and year-end accounting tasks as assigned.
- Ad-hoc analysis and reporting duties as assigned, including but not limited to:
- Assist with financial analysis on special projects, both short and long-term as assigned.
- Reconcile vendor charges and payments.
- Reconcile accounts and balance as needed to support audit and tax requirements.
- Review completeness and accuracy of journal entries, all account reconciliations, general ledger, and trial balance for multiple entities.
- Ensure expenses and key balance sheet accounts are fully supported and record-keeping is top-notch.
- Continuously look for ways to improve, streamline, and automate processes related to the role.
**What You Bring**
- Accounting Degree/Diploma would be an asset.
- 1-3 years of accounting experience.
- Accurate data entry is an integral part of the role.
- Working knowledge of **Sage Intacct** is a strong asset.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Teams.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Strong team player.
- Able to multitask while managing deadlines.
- Results-oriented with a sense of urgency.

- Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
- Schedule: Must be available Monday to Friday, standard office hours in **Eastern Standard Time**.
- **This is a hybrid role.** 3 days of in-office presence at the Yonge/Bloor Toronto office is expected **_at this time_**. This may change in the future.**:
- Starting salary of $50,000 Canadian dollars annually, range to be discussed and depending on experience.
