**POSITION FUNCTION**:
The Manager, Settlement & Integration Programs supervise settlement workers, and works collaboratively with MOSAIC Settlement, Language, Employment, Specialized Child and Family Programs’ staff, community organizations and stakeholders to develop, implement, and evaluate Settlement Programs in Burnaby, New Westminster, Vancouver, and Surrey. This position provides on-site supervision of staff from 'I Belong' and 'Newcomers and Community Building' programs.
**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Direction**/**Management/**Coordination**
- Overall coordination and planning of deliverables (outputs and outcomes)
- Supervise and support the work of settlement workers in needs assessment and referrals, one-on-one information and orientation, one-on-one support, group information and orientation, and community connections activities, and volunteer management
- Ensure delivery of the Program is consistent and professional
**Communication**
- Provide direct settlement information and support to newcomer clients as needed
- Supervise the promotion and marketing of all Settlement related activities
- Work closely with the Managers of other Settlement Programs
- Participate/lead team, partnership, departmental, all-staff, and relevant community meetings, in-service training, and other training as assigned
**Business **Development**
- Maintain working knowledge of emergent issues in situations involving settlement of newcomers and community capacity building
- Coordinate the development of innovative services and resource materials that support settlement and capacity building for newcomers
- Assist senior manager to identify emerging newcomer needs
- Assist the senior manager to identify funding sources
- Participate in ensuring development and submission of proposals and budgets for new and existing programs in a timely fashion
**Community/Partner Relations**
- Work in partnership with community organizations and stakeholders to organize and coordinate public education/information/resource events and build capacity for immigrant and refugee communities
**Financial Management**
- Work with the senior manager and the Finance Department to ensure financial integrity and accountability for Settlement Programs
- Assist the senior manager and Finance Department to prepare contract budgets
- Monitor contract budgets, cash flows, variances, financial statements, reports, and expense records
**Human Resources**
- Hire/retain, train, supervise, and evaluate Program staff; ensure completion of proper documentation
- Develop and support staff to reach their potential
- Ensure completion of performance evaluations and review and update of job descriptions for settlement workers and program support staff
