Build Specialist Team Lead

Activate is a tech company known for creating Canada’s first full-scale interactive gaming facility. We are experiencing significant expansion, and are looking to expand our team with the addition of a Build Specialist Team Lead. A successful applicant will contribute to the overall success of the construction site. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires extensive travel.
**The Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Operations_
- Act as the main on-site point of contact for project leads and purchasers
- Act as the main on-site point of contact for deliveries and materials and track inventory/maintenance
- Identify incomplete orders and gaps in productivity; communicate requirements to meet deadlines
- Submit orders and track order statuses
- Provide daily project status updates; ensure all checklists are completed
- Leadership_
- Confirm and approve team timesheets
- Overseeing employees, including coaching formally and informally
- Ensure the onsite crew has the appropriate materials and equipment to complete projects on time
- Ensure the builds are meeting requirements, and communicate any deficiencies to the team
- Construction_
- Support the construction and installation teams as needed to ensure projects are completed on time
- Ensure any deficiencies are resolved
- Will be the primary keyholder of the site, and the main point of contact for alarms and internet installations
- Escalate emergencies as required
- Complete final walkthrough of sites with operations team
- Ensure the facility is clean, organized, and meeting Activate standards before handoff
- Will be onsite for up to 3 months
- Other tasks and duties as assigned
**The Qualifications**:
- Must be able and willing to travel extensively
- Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset
- 1-2 years of leadership experience would be considered an asset
- Ability to work effectively in climatic conditions is required
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work with mínimal supervision;
- Reliable, hardworking, and strong attendance record
- Must have good manual dexterity, physical strength, and stamina with the ability to consistently lift up to 50lbs. consistently
