**Job Overview**:
This role is responsible for the management and leadership of the Total Rewards team, Payroll Pensions & Benefits team, Talent Systems and Insights team, as well as our Special Projects and Distributed Work teams. Overseeing these aspects of the employee lifecycle with the overall focus and responsibility of creating an exceptional workplace experience for all employees. In leveraging innovative HR practices, the VP, People Services and Experience plays a pivotal role in optimizing the HR Shared Services delivery strategy and constructing a best-in-class employee experience.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and execute a comprehensive People Services strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive employee experience strategy encompassing regional diversity.
- Drive the utilization, enhancement, and impact of Talent Systems and its Insights to build enterprise-wide data-driven people decisions and exceptional employee experiences.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in implementing company-wide Employee Experience strategies to foster a culture of belonging and respect for all employees.
- Lead the overview of the design, implementation, and communication of Total Rewards philosophy and programs that align with and support the business's strategy.
- Oversee the planning and implementation of strategies and initiatives that enhance the optimal operational performance of Wawanesa’s Canadian Payroll, Pension, and Benefits Practices.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of the HR Shared Services delivery strategy by streamlining processes, enhancing efficiencies, and ensuring consistency across the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and best practices that reflect legal requirements and industry standards, integrating and aligning HR Shared Services with broader initiatives and organizational goals.
- Stay informed of emerging trends and best practices in People Services and leverage this knowledge to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.

**Qualifications**:

- Ten years of practical experience developing, leading, and implementing enterprise initiatives.
- Post-secondary degree preferred.
- Strong experience in overseeing the Shared Services model.
- Strong expertise and experience in Compensation at all organizational levels.
- Strengths in creative thinking and novel conceptualization.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence and gain respect, credibility, and confidence from others.
- Ability to make excellent and well-justified decisions in complex and high-pressure situations.
- Strong business acumen with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to recognize and identify critical issues and make recommendations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively convey ideas in a persuasive and eloquent manner.
- Knowledge and experience in the insurance industry is considered an asset.
- Has a clear point of view and demonstrated leadership experience in Inclusion & Diversity.
- Strong MS Office skills.
