Vice President, Marketing

We are seeking a Vice President, Marketing to join our team in Winnipeg or Toronto.
Reporting to the Chief Product & Marketing Officer, the VP, Marketing is responsible for setting People Corporation’s strategic Marketing roadmap to support the business vision. The Marketing roadmap will inform several marketing strategies inclusive of brand on a multi-year journey to build and transform the marketing function and its overall role in the business. This is a transformative role that will require the ability to set, gain support, and manage change associated with establishing an enterprise-wide marketing function. This is a critical role that has a wide breadth of responsibilities ranging from Brand, product, lead generation to content marketing that will help drive the evolution of how the organization presents its vision both externally and internally. Accountable to deliver innovative solutions to accelerate growth and implement marketing action plans, the VP, Marketing is a key strategic partner to Sales, Product and Operations. This role will impact change in the organization by championing the strategic value marketing can bring to customers.
**The Vice President, Marketing will**:
- Set an overarching comprehensive marketing roadmap to establish and build the marketing function at People Corporation, including identification of key segment value propositions
- Establish a comprehensive brand strategy for all People Corporation channels including a transition roadmap and market launch that builds greater awareness considering all facets of how we present ourselves to the market.
- Partner closely with the SVP of Product, and a wide cross-section of Product Owners to create differentiated product marketing strategies, then set winning go-to-marketing strategies. Monitor product marketing success and develop persistent strategies to evolve and extend products
- Lead the development of new marketing strategies, subsequent tactical execution, and establish KPIs to measure effectiveness
- Establish a content marketing strategy leveraged by sales and service to help B2B stakeholders solve common business and employee challenges they face
- Transform the organization’s digital presence including web, social and lead gen marketing.
- Champion a martech stack that enables multi-channel connections with all customer segments and stakeholders.
- Elevate the organization’s communication framework and protocol.
- Manage vendor and fractional work arrangements.
- Establish effective and efficient marketing operational processes to allow the function to scale with the growth of the organization.
- Collaborate with teams across People Corporation to develop solutions that address challenges.
- Build strong relationships with marketing peers, product teams, sales and channel teams to ensure campaign effectiveness.
- Solve complex and ambiguous problems to its component parts, and then propose actionable solutions.
- Drive innovation, creativity, and team collaboration to continuously improve upon best practices and standard processes.
- Create and deliver integrated marketing programs including development of budget, value prop and KPIs.
**T**o be successful **as a **Vice President, Marketing **with People Corporation, you will need**:
- Bachelor’s degree, MBA in Marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10+ years’ experience in the areas of B2B Marketing and/or Consulting environment.
- Strong B2B Marketing experience.
- Proven innovative track record of success and holistic marketing experience - market planning & analysis, strategy, branding, campaign design, launch and assessment.
- Experience integrating cost/benefit analysis into decision-making to maximize shareholder value.
- Proven experience seeking and acting upon customer feedback and research.
- Ability to inspire a culture of partnership with internal/external customers to create mutually beneficial processes, products, and services.
- Ability to collaborate with others (internally and with partners) in changing, expanding or creating new processes/products/services to produce customized, converged solutions for a specific market.
**- Strong B2B Marketing experience and knowledge related to Financial Services/Insurance, with a preference to specific group benefit and retirement experience.
