We are looking for a qualified and experienced finance leader to provide strong commercial partnership and financial controllership to this established yet expanding division of Henry Schein One, based in Vancouver. As Finance Manager, you will be a highly self-motivated individual who will contribute and challenge the business to realise high growth potential and meet its’ financial commitments; whilst maintaining robust stewardship of the financial controls.

**As a Finance Manager, Canada your key responsibilities will include**:

- Partner with the MD and leadership team to provide valuable input in the strategy and investment decision-making
- Develop financial plans and forecasts to drive growth
- Challenge the leaders of the business to ensure we meet financial commitments.
- Maintain robust financial controls, highly accurate and timely information
- Manage and simplify the finance processes and dependence on shared services.
- Manage the reporting calendar to ensure the finance team meets its’ commitment to deliverables.
- Build and lead a high-performing Finance Team to partner both internal and external stakeholders
- Be involved in recruitment, training, coaching and development of the Finance team. Raise quality at every opportunity.
- Empower your team and the business to achieve a high level of productivity and quality.
- Develop relationships and work across the business to influence others.
- Attending and overseeing all material for business review meetings.
- Create and execute a plan to consolidate and simplify the finance function in Canada. This may include transactional processing, financial accounting and reporting, FPA, cash management, statutory filings as well as the development and monitoring of control processes.
- Provide financial insight and advice to the MD and local leadership team.
- Work with the International Finance Director to set targets for long range plans and budgets.
- Investment modelling to evaluate the financial viability of projects
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and KPIs; evolve the financial reporting to meet the needs of the business.
- Responsible for forecasting accuracy; ensure the business understands risk and opportunities above original targets; coordinate profit improvement plans and remedial actions where appropriate
- Develop optimisation initiatives focused on revenue opportunities and cost efficiency.
- Assist in any M&A activities; financial modelling, diligence and post close integration
