**Manager, Finance (Firm-Wide Finance Department)**

**Job Summary**

Reporting to the Director, Finance, the incumbent will be conducting comprehensive analysis of financial data and providing timely and accurate Firm financial and monetary reports to support management decisions which includes cash flow, liquidity, funding, and relationships with financial institutions. Responsible for designing, implementing and enforcing policies and procedures, as well as streamlining processes to ensure efficiency, compliance with current insurance standards, LSUC rules and tax regulations to mitigate Financial risk to the Firm and ensure a strong control environment.

Hours of work are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m, and will not be eligible for overtime.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Management of the Financial Analyst(s) staff, including establishing and implementing short/long term goals which aligns with the department objectives and facilitating training and development of staff.
- Preparing the Firm’s cash position, annual cash budget and periodic cash forecast while ensure Firm Senior management visibility and provide recommendations to enhance Firm’s cash position.
- Reviewing and/or preparing cash flow analysis and reporting, bank filing requirement and bank covenants to the Director, Finance, the CFO and Audit Committee, as required.
- Maintain oversight and providing strategic recommendations in Firm debt structure, exposure to FX, Firm bank accounts structure and its compliance with external regulators including insurance requirements.
- Monitoring changes to federal/provincial and international tax legislation and its impact to the Firm, the Finance department operations and the ERP system while ensuring updates on a timely basis for these changes.
- Reviewing Firm-wide annual tax returns (all offices and FMD Group).
- Ensuring the Partner compensation software is maintained and properly updated for new Firm policies and changes in accordance to the Firm requirements.
- Managing all aspects of compliance of partnership, corporate and commodity tax regulations including all related analysis and support schedules including but not limited to Partner Accounting processes and technology, including annual partner compensation, partner admission, WIP and retiree entitlements.
- Ensuring proper documentation of partners interest within the Firm including the Firm Partner registry, Partner compensation and admission.
- Providing support for annual internal offices partnership tax returns as well as partner’s non-resident Canadian returns.
- Responsible for external audit by governing bodies (e.g., LSUC, CRA).
- Assessing policies, processes and practices, recommending and implementing changes in internal control procedures to enhance the Firm control environment while ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, accuracy and timely processing of requests.
