Ottawa, Canada Lookout Media Full time

Lookout Media is looking for a salesperson to help grow the pipeline of B2B clients in Ottawa and potentially in other cities. You will be selling advertising placements in our network of newsletters, helping local businesses connect with Ottawa’s largest community of engaged locals.

The position is flexible depending on your skills, but you will primarily be focusing on outbound sales generation, client relationship management and client reporting.

The position is either part-time. There is a salary, but the position, at least to start, is primarily commission-based. This will lead to a full-time position depending on performance.

This position is on a contract basis but will lead to full-time work as sales grow.

**Requirements**:

- At least two years of sales experience with a focus on B2B
- Strong sales or business development experience in Ottawa
- You live in Ottawa
- Understand how to generate outbound sales leads
- Strong client management - you understand what clients want and need
- You are a self-starter. You learn quickly and don’t need a lot of supervision.
- You’re familiar with CRM tools like Hubspot. You understand technology and are experienced in using online tools like Slack, Google Docs and Gmail
- You are well-organized and good at managing your own time
- Track record of achieving and succeeding sales targets

**Nice-to-haves**
- You have experience doing sales for a media or newspaper company
- You’ve worked at a company in Ottawa doing sales previously

**Day-to-day job**
- B2B sales prospecting - generate a list of outbound leads and contact them about advertising
- Manage these contacts and book meetings with the internal team responsible for pitching clients
- Potentially pitch clients, depending on your experience
- Deal with contract signing and booking ads
- Reporting on ads for clients

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $1,750.00-$2,750.00 per month
