**Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently seeking a EHS Coordinator to join our team. This position is based at our Edmonton, AB facility and offers benefits from Day1.**

**What you’ll do**:
Reporting to EHS & CI Manager, this position is responsible for planning, establishing, and maintaining the EHS program to ensure due diligence in compliance for all Eaton employees, visitors, and contractors. In addition, this position also helps managing activities to ensure Eaton compliance to all applicable health, safety and environmental laws, regulations, and standards.

Key Objectives:
- Work with site department managers and employees for managing the safety reports and implementing actions to meet the Alberta & EATON requirements of EHS (Environment, Health & Safety)
- Manage the contractors’ safety requirements as well as safety project scopes and execution.
- Support all site functions with digital mindset (Industry 4.0 Digitalization) including RIE (Rapid Improvement Event) with safety improvement projects, EHS Gemba Walk, ISO audits, manufacturing 5S+, maintenance safety, training records and etc
- Facilitate JHSC (Joint Health & Safety Committee) meeting and workplace safety inspection with actions plan
- Work with cross-functional/corporate stakeholders to manage the documentation and training of EATON MESH (Management System of Environment, Safety & Health) program with actions plan and execution
- Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop documents of EHS and MESH programs such as permits, inventory lists, inspections, sampling reports, safe operating procedures, emergency plans, incident reports, etc.
- Perform detailed investigation for any incident report with root cause analysis and actions plan
- Conduct risk assessment for site-level, workstations, workplace inspection and ergonomics to create practical and effective risk control plans including training employees on the task hazards
- Take the lead to plan with all stakeholders for implementing safety actions plan through hands-on training and actions, along with floor-employees
- Coordinate communication for all EHS activities and prevention programs such as safety observation, positive interruptions, find-it-fix-it, safety Gemba walk, ESA corporate campaigns etc.
- Review the safety concerns from employees weekly and research for recommendations in action
- Manage EHS digital data collection and analysis for reporting and presentation to identify critical areas for improvement and safety project re-prioritization
- Create safety training materials and facilitate hands-on training for employees, site leaders and contractors, in addition to arranging any third-party safety certification training classes and scheduling with employees
- Manage safety requirements of contractors, as well as safety project scopes and schedules of implementation on time and within the budget of capital funding
- Support all site functions for addressing safety-related corrective actions such as assisting in 5S+ program, RIE, ISO audits, annual inspection & safety preventive maintenance for building equipment, training records, etc.
- Perform other duties as required.

**Required Qualifications**
- College program or University degree in Science, EHS related or Occupational Health & Safety
- Must have 1 to 2 years of work experience in Occupational Heath and Safety
- Knowledge of Alberta Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental legislations
- Strong PC skills in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PPT, Word, Team) for Industry 4.0 digitalization

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience in managing contractors and project scopes to resolve safety concerns
- Prior leadership role in any kind of project works
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship

- Must be self-directed in creating plans to achieve goals and managing multiple priorities
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills both verbal and written
- Detail-oriented in data collection and proactive in problem-solving with hands-on actions
- Adaptable to constant changes and flexible in reprioritizing actions plan to implement
- Effective time management and project management skills
- Ability to multi-task multiple projects and work in a fast paced/changing environment
- Ability to facilitate diverse groups of employees and work with all levels within the organization
- Ability to manage conflict and resistance to change
