**Title**: Coordinator for Experiential Learning - Ambrose Arts and Humanities

**Position Summary**
The Coordinator for Experiential Learning - Ambrose Arts and Humanities has two main areas of responsibility: 1) Work-Integrated Learning placements, in both Ambrose Arts and Humanities and 2) academic support in Ambrose Arts and the Humanities department, relating to program promotion (print and web-based), academic advising, and both curricular and co-curricular elements connected to career preparation.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
1. Work-Integrated Learning Placements
- Manage student requirements for WIL placements in Ambrose Arts and the Humanities. (i.e., academic and non-academic prerequisites, WIL location, WIL partners, necessary security clearances required, contracts, and evaluations for reporting to supervising faculty members).
- Participate in the matching of students and WIL experiences and/or partners, in collaboration with Ambrose faculty and staff.
- Mediate, negotiate, and resolve conflict between Ambrose students and WIL partners, in collaboration with supervising faculty members.
- Oversee communication, information, and paperwork for students, including WIL handbooks, Moodle pages, and WIL-related student workshops.
- Coordinate with Student Academic Success, Student Life, and Ambrose faculty and staff to offer workshops and training related to resume writing, interview skills, and other topics related to preparation for work and career.
- Protect the privacy and confidentiality of all student information.

2. Academic Support in Ambrose Arts and the Humanities Department
- Support Ambrose Arts programs and Humanities programs in cooperation with Chairs and department faculty by developing program promotion opportunities, liaising with the Communications and Enrolment divisions on website development, print media, and social media channels.
- Support academic advising relating to program planning, requirements, and courses, in coordination with the Chair and faculty advisors.
- Serve as a faculty-student liaison in matters of student satisfaction, Program Day development, and professional development opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and assist with the work of External Advisory Committees.
- Protect the privacy and confidentiality of all student information.

**Required Education and Experience**
- Recognized baccalaureate degree in a relevant Arts and Science discipline.
- Understanding of and preferably, experience related to work-integrated learning, communications, and academic advising.

**Skills**
- Knowledge of basic database administration and word processing.
- Good written and oral communications skills, with proven ability to write for a variety of formats and audiences including news and feature stories, program brochures, etc.
- Demonstrated abilities in initiating and developing professional relationships in both academic and public sectors.
- Organizational skills and ability to order priorities with a high level of efficiency reflected in good work habits and a sound work ethic.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from concept to delivery.

**ADDITIONAL INFORMATION**
- Ambrose Employees agree to uphold and sign the University’s Statement of Faith upon initial appointment and govern the conduct of their work in accordance therewith.
- Employment is contingent upon satisfactory background criminal check and academic transcripts.
- In accordance with Canadian immigration requirements, priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15 per week

**Salary**: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
