- Minimum 2 year accounting diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification program through the

Canadian Payroll Association preferred.
- 3-5 years recent payroll experience in large unionized environment
- Comprehensive Knowledge of the Employment Standards Act (ESA)

- Advanced knowledge and experience in Crystal Report Writing.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES (Major Responsibilities of the Position)**
- Ensure accurate time entries and transmission of payroll within deadlines.
- Review payroll output and initiate appropriate adjustments.
- Prepare payroll related journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations
- Analyze employee benefits and prepare remittances and requisitions
- Complete financial,, statistical and other informational reports for both internal and external

stakeholders.
- Complete Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan annual contribution reports and reconciliations.
- Prepare and reconcile T4s, T4As, and other various year end reports.
- Initiate Records of Employment and respond to Employment Insurance (EI) inquiries.
