As Shelter Canadian Properties continues to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Analyst with strong written communication abilities for the Winnipeg Head Office.

The company is a multi-faceted real estate development and property management company, which manages a diverse portfolio of publicly and privately owned residential rental, condominium, commercial and hotel properties. The company employs approximately 300 administrative, accounting and operational personnel who work at Head Office, the regional offices and on site at the rental, condominium and commercial properties. In the Winnipeg Head Office, there are approximately 70 employees who attend to accounting, finance, and taxation matters for the managed properties, as well as asset management and other special services.

Shelter Canadian has an opening in its Head Office for an enthusiastic and career-oriented individual to assume an Analyst position in the Investor Reporting department. The Analyst will engage in meaningful work that supports the delivery of service to our stakeholders.

This role is ideally suited for someone who is looking for a stable, long-term position and who not only has analytical and accounting skills, but also excellent written communication abilities. **Key Responsibilities**:
The primary function of the Analyst will be to aid in the preparation of detailed reports to the owners of syndicated properties - reporting on financial, operational, strategic, income tax, mortgage re-financing and other matters. Key responsibilities include:

- **Financial Analysis & Reporting**: Analyze financial statements and assist in preparing accurate and timely investment reports, including drafting narrative _Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A)_ reports that convey financial results, insights, and trends.
- **Narrative Development**: Write, review, and edit reports focusing on readability, accuracy, and consistency.
- **Data Management**: Compile and manage source documents and financial data, ensuring compliance with procedure checklists.
- **Cross-Department Collaboration**: Work closely with other departments to ensure alignment of financial data and reporting accuracy.

Working together with the Investor Reporting team, you will be assisting with the:

- Preparation of budgets and cash flow projections for residential and commercial real estate properties;
- Communication with operational and financial personnel for the purpose of obtaining quantitative and qualitative information for reports;
- Preparation of information circulars for Investor Meetings, based on established templates.

Qualifications & Skills
- **Education** - bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- **Technical Skills** - proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with Caseview and Caseware is ideal but not required.
- **Written Communication** - strong narrative skills with the ability to produce clear, insightful, and concise management reports.
- **Detail-Oriented & Organized** - attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- **Analytical Acumen** - a good working knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, and financial reporting concepts.
- **Learning Orientation** - an eagerness to learn and continuously improve, with a mindset focused on adding value to the company and the stakeholders served by the company
